Did you know that every Deceptex pattern is designed to go into full scale production with factory printers (high speed rotary screen printing): We could use over 16 million colors in one pattern but the factories can usually achieve only 8 colors maximum. We can also print in extreme detail, but have to limit the patterns to specific dots per inch (DPI) for the print screens. There are also 3 specific repeat sizes for screens and every Deceptex pattern is developed with one of those three repeats. This was done on purpose as we expect many of these will end up being licensed by countries or for larger commercial runs.
